After having a baby, my husband and I have not gone anywhere far from home without bringing the little one along. We were so happy to finally go out alone when our baby was old enough to hang out with his grandmother. I needed a break. We needed fun and excitement back in our lives. I mean, having a baby is all about that too — lots of cuddles and giggles. However, we also needed something for just the two of us. Let’s go!

SkyPark is an outdoor family adventure park in the mountains of Skyforest, California. It is near Lake Arrowhead and located in the San Bernardino National Forest. It basically is the iconic Santa’s Village outside of the winter months. We went during the Fall season and were impressed by the autumn pumpkin decorations. Nothing too extravagant but they looked pretty nice to me.

Arrow’s Adventure and Magic Portal Zoom
Here we went inside a decorated ice cave-themed tunnel; this is my favorite ride! A short drive to a small tunnel, passing through some zigzag road and back to the main entrance. A simple road challenge that I find very amusing.
Adventure zipline (first come first serve basis)
The moment you get inside the park in the morning make sure to go straight to the zipline outdoor shed as they stop reservations as early as 11am. It’s on a walk-in basis and you can’t call to book a reservation.
The zipline ride offers thrill-seekers an amazing feeling of being suspended in the air at 30 feet above the forest floor. The most exciting part is when you get to the last part where you have to jump or they’ll push you to get off the platform and rappel yourself down to the ground.
This is the best part of the park when you're an adult. A place to unleash your special skills and reawaken those mysterious powers inside you.
Proud! I've never been good at sports but I kind of did this one right.
Another proud soul! The weird thing is he's ax was upside down.
King Celwyn’s Ax Challenge
My first time learning the ancient art of ax throwing. I love it! And both my husband and I got the ax to stick on the wall. I did it with fewer tries! My evil laughs strike-through again.
Princess Evergreen’s Archery Range
I’ve done archery a few times and still can’t get the hang of it.
Northwoods Sharpshooter Gallery
I enjoyed shooting the rifle in this part of the park. It was like being at those carnivals but with less pressure as you’re not trying to win your money’s worth.
The Wizard was on his way to vanquish some spirits.
Meet the Northwoods Characters
Northwood characters walk around the park daily. We might have seen some of these characters namely Arrow, King Celwyn Claus, Jack Frost, Queen Wisdom, Princess Evergreen, Arrow, Princess Sugarplum, Frosty, Snap & Crumbles Gingerbreads, Twinkle, and of course Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus.
Meeting Santa was a dream come true!
The kid inside me jumped with so much joy. It felt like I'd finally met the Real Santa!
North Pole Post Office box
We found a post office box near Santa’s house and the coffee shop if you want to write a letter to Santa.
More activities inside SkyPark:
Bike Rental Place
Bike park
The bike park was a bit extreme as the riders were going at full speed. It’s more for avid mountain bikers, so if you’re one of them, this side of the park will definitely be your favorite spot.
Meadowlands Trail
There's a hiking trail inside the park, however, we didn't get that far as the bikers were a bit too fast on the shared terrain.
Silver Bells Arena for Ice Skating
I bet the ice skating ring feels more magical during the winter or Christmas season.
Floki’s Frozen Falls Climbing Tower A
A 30-foot tower for an exhilarating wall-climbing experience for all ages.
Santa's Toy Test Track
Cute little track for small kids to enjoy. I'll definitely bring my little one here when he's old enough to sit in those cars.
Northwoods Express Train Ride
Another way to see Santa’s Village is by hopping on a train. Kids will love this!
Discovery Playscape
This is a unique way for kids to learn how to maneuver themselves around obstacle courses.

Santa’s Village Mining Co. Pan
This might be your chance to find gold!
Santa’s Workshop Exploratorium
Get to know the history of the park. They said the original Santa’s Village welcomed visitors from 1955 to 1998. This village has been here for a while now. It’s nice to know that they kept this magical place in great condition.
We went during the fall and the place was beautiful! There were pumpkin decorations all over the park and it made everything look more incredible and exciting.
More pumpkins...
Yes! We had that much fun, with no alcohol in our system at all it's pure happiness on our faces.
Christmas was coming soon, so this tree will be decorated with Christmas lights soon!
Little Coffee House
This little cafe offers the Best Toffee Coffee my husband ever tasted, and he doesn't even like coffee - till he met me! We had our serving of caffeine in this little corner outside the cafe and talked about our life before having a baby and the tremendous turn but ultimately the best thing that ever happened to us.
Enjoy the Cafe's lights and decorations
Each cafe we went to had its own touch of lights and feels. Don't forget to look up and admire the unique dining experiences here.
Billy’s BBQ House
The food here was excellent! Plus the outdoor patio made the experience even better.
The Gingerbread House Bakery & Sweet Shoppe
A cute little shop that offers sweet treats like cookies and more. Don't forget to take a silly picture with the Gingerbread in front of the shop.
Sky Pavilion
We ended our day with a magic show and were blown away! The magic show was hilarious. It was then the perfect way to end the day. My husband and I were as happy as we could be. We missed our baby however, it was nice to get a break and a place to go to have fun with smaller crowds.
