We visited Disneyland during the first week of January and the last week of March. I absolutely adore Spring at Disneyland, especially when the Tabebuia impetiginosa, commonly known as Pink Trumpet Trees, are in full bloom. It feels like experiencing the beauty of Sakura Blossoms right here in California!
For an enjoyable Disneyland experience, try to visit on weekdays and during off-peak seasons, specifically between September and November, as well as January to March. This timing allows you to avoid large crowds and long wait times.
Peak season occurs during holidays, weekends, and the summer months, particularly from June to August. It's best to steer clear of these times, as they are often the busiest periods of the year, attracting the highest attendance.

5 Essential Survival List for Taking a Toddler to Disneyland California
1. Foldable and Lightweight Stroller - Ideal for napping and navigating the expansive park, plus it's easy to handle when taking the tram transfer—believe me, we learned this the hard way. Our trusty Mompush stroller has been part of our family and it's one of our best travel investments. Also, check out Mickey Mouse Umbrella Stroller.
2. Reusable Snack Bags - Food can be quite pricey within the park, so pack some snacks to save some money. However, make sure to sample some of the exclusive Disney food for the experience.
3. Reusable Water Bottle - Staying hydrated is essential for enjoying the park, and you’ll find plenty of water fountains available. Bring along a reusable straw and splash guard.
4. Sunscreen - Protecting your skin from the sun is vital; this is an essential item for any trip.
5. Dress in Layers Based on the Weather - We visited during the off-season, and it got quite chilly, especially at night. My son loves his Fleece Jacket and Winter Jacket; these are the only ones he lets us wrap him up in!
Bonus Tip: Avengers Onesie - Dress up your toddler in this adorable outfit! Even though they may be too young to remember, they will look amazing in the photos.
Also, remember to bring the diaper bag with all the backup essentials, as I don't know whether there are stores within the park that sell diapers and wipes.

Foods Permitted Inside Disney California Adventure
Can you bring food inside Disneyland? Absolutely! Guests are permitted to bring their own food into Disneyland; however, please remember that alcoholic beverages are not allowed. Additionally, glass containers and loose ice are prohibited, and food items should not have strong odors.
During our visit, we brought along baby food, sandwiches, boiled eggs, crackers, and some berries. It's wise to check the list of prohibited items on the website before packing any food or beverages. Disneyland Park Rules
Dining Experience
Dining at the park can be quite pricey, and the queues can be overwhelming at times. To sidestep the crowds, we opted to place mobile orders ahead of time, making it essential to be aware of the timing and to arrive early. The Disneyland experience seems lacking without enjoying some dining options, unless you hold an annual pass.

My baby was 1 year and 10 months old when we visited Disney California Adventure, and these were our favorite rides and activities that made our day. Our little one may not recall this experience, but we certainly will, and that's what truly matters. These are the perfect moments to visit Disney, especially since you don't have to pay for their ticket, haha! Beyond that, they will definitely sense the love and excitement of the day, and their expressions will be priceless. They're only little for a short time, so cherish these simple yet precious moments, parents.
My favorite rides:
- The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure Ride is my all-time favorite as it brings me back to my childhood.
- Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind Ride
Other baby-friendly rides:
- Pixar Pal-A-Round - Non-swinging/Swinging
Must-See Experience:
- Mickey’s Philharmagic
- Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure
- Avengers Headquarters
- Turtle Talk with Crush
- World of Color Watershow
My favorite ride is The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure Ride, which holds a special place in my heart as it reminds me of my childhood. The boat experience was vibrant and a feast for the eyes, inviting you to join in and sing along to its melodic journey.
The wait time was quite manageable during our visit since it was off-season. This highlights the importance of avoiding weekends and opting for off-peak times. By doing so, you'll have a more enjoyable experience on the rides with less stress.

The Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind Ride was a wonderful way to experience heights. The ride was gentle enough, and our little one had a fantastic time on it.
“You have to live spherically - in many directions. Never lose your childish enthusiasm - and things will come your way.” - Under the Tuscan Sun
The Pixar Pal-A-Round ride was thrilling, and you can choose between the swinging or non-swinging cars. We chose the swinging option, and our little one absolutely loved it, while I found myself feeling quite scared. Since becoming a mom, I’ve noticed that I no longer crave that adrenaline rush or life-threatening excitement from rides—it's as if motherhood has transformed me. Am I the only one feeling this way? Ahahaa
Explore The Avengers Headquarters
The Avengers Headquarters didn't meet my expectations. I was hoping for more attractions, such as a glimpse into their loft or perhaps an Avengers-themed restaurant.
However, the Jeep parked outside was a fun feature, perfect for taking photos.
The magic show with Dr. Strange was also entertaining.
Watch Spiderman Fly
Chat with Crush the Sea Turtle
Witness the Disney Parade
I have always adored Pixar animations; they are vibrant, featuring relatable plots and unique stories.
I love the calming atmosphere at night, when people stroll around, taking in the sights. This contrasts sharply with the morning, when everyone is lined up, eagerly waiting for their turn on the rides.
Hop on Jessie's Critter Carousel
We visited during the first week of January, right after the Christmas rush and the New Year excitement had passed. We were still able to catch a glimpse of the Christmas decorations and the festive New Year atmosphere. It was the perfect moment to experience Disney California Adventure!
I found the nighttime scenes in the park much more enjoyable than those in the morning. There’s a certain magic in the lights of Disneyland after dark.
The Tre Kings—oops, I meant "Three"—ahahaa
"World of Color" is a captivating water show that features a stunning array of Disney and Pixar moments projected onto a water screen, enhanced by fire, fountains, fog, and laser effects. The performance lasts under 30 minutes, so be sure to arrive on time. Typically, shows are held nightly at 9:00 PM and 10:15 PM, but it's always a good idea to check the app for the most current schedule.
We had a wonderful time at Disney California Adventure Park, which offers a more adult-friendly atmosphere with many thrilling rides, especially in comparison to Disneyland Park, which caters more to young children. I recommend visiting the two parks on separate days, as there is an abundance of attractions and activities to explore. While the wait times can be somewhat annoying, a little careful planning, frequent breaks, and a relaxed pace will ensure that you have an incredible time in the happiest place on Earth. This is definitely a must-visit when experiencing California for the first time.
